PSALM 139:23-24
"God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain I'm walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting ways-the path that brings me back to you."

Search me and know me oh God. This is one of my prayers each and every day. I love that this Psalm starts with the statement of God knowing everything about us and then ends with an invitation for Him to reveal what He finds (and already knows!) in that search. Oh how He longs for an invitation from His children.

I know that as a human I constantly overlook my heart. At times, I genuinely have no idea what's going on in there, which is why on a daily basis I ask Him to show me. He is always faithful to answer. And what He shows us will never be condemning or shameful, but full of love and kindness. And the best news of all? This loving kindness leads us straight back to Him.

If you want freedom in all areas of your heart, you need to start asking Him to reveal areas that need healing. Jesus said, "Ask and you will receive''. Let's be a people that surrenders our whole heart to Jesus, giving Him room to move and heal. All He needs is an invitation.
