1 Corinthians 1:26-28 "Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards. Not many were influential, not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of this world to shame the wise. God chose the weak things of this world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things and the things that are not- to nullify the things that are."

In my younger years, I struggled to see how God would use my life. If I had to be honest, I certainly wasn't the best advertisement for the Christian walk, always feeling like I was taking three steps forward and two steps back. Maybe you feel the same? Convinced there are far more worthy candidates who look like they have the perfect Christian life going on... But God, in His absolute kindness, would often show me throughout  scripture how time and time again that He actually specializes in using very 'ordinary' people. People with ordinary fears, ordinary trials, all manner of family issues, insecurities- people who felt like they had little if anything to offer. The big difference being... Deep in their hearts... they all chose to hold on tight to God, believe Him at His word no matter what and allow Him to navigate their lives through their circumstances... The outcome...  Giants were slain... enemies conquered... waters walked on ... promised lands fulfilled...  God was the Hero to their story!... The same way He wants to be the Hero to your story!
