OUR MANIFESTO
We desire Encounter over Entertainment, Intimacy over Industry, Presence over Presentation, People over Position… And most of all JESUS over Everything.
Our heart is to empower people’s lives through Worship, Discipleship and Community built on true friendship within the life of The Belonging Co through weekly services and Connect Groups.
We are intentional about welcoming every person at The Belonging Co, where everyone belongs. Whoever you are and wherever you come from, you are welcome.
We intend to practice being the church by loving God and loving people like Jesus loves them.
We are passionate about seeing people encounter the presence of God and experience true freedom through knowing Jesus intimately.
We are called to equip and empower the body of Christ for ministry within and outside the church. We are called to impact people through the love of Jesus in whatever sphere of influence we have been called to.
OUR CORE VALUES
JESUS IS OUR MESSAGE
We are unapologetically in love with Jesus and our purpose is to reveal who Jesus is by sharing the gospel through our everyday lives. Our methods may change, yet our message will remain the same. We believe that every Christian is called to live a life that displays the ways of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit and through a commitment to His Word.
LOVE IS OUR HIGHEST CALLING
Jesus commanded us to love the Lord God with our whole heart and love others as ourselves. Our heart is for all people. All people are loved by Jesus. We desire to lead the lost home. Love is how the world will know that we are His disciples
SERVANT LEADERSHIP IS OUR HEART
If serving is beneath you, then leadership is not for you. Our greatest example of servant leadership was Jesus, and we believe the greatest leadership is service to others. Every leader must first be a servant; from the parking lot to the pulpit, this is a house where everyone serves.
GENEROSITY IS OUR PRIVILEGE
We believe generosity is about going above what is required. We see generosity as a privilege – it is who we are because it is a reflection of who our Father is. He is generous; therefore, we are generous. Generous with our time, talents and treasure. We give generously because He first gave generously to us.
PRAYER IS OUR POSTURE
Posture is defined as “a particular way of dealing with or considering something.” May our posture always be humility and prayer when we are considering or dealing with situations in our lives. Prayer changes things and we cannot do what God has called us to do without prayer.
THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS OUR DNA (NATURE)
As Christians, we should display the nature of God through the evidence of the Spirit at work in our lives. The “fruits of the spirit” are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We believe that as we become more and more like Jesus through the Holy Spirit active in our lives, then more and more our nature should display the “fruits” of His Spirit. When we treat others around us through this mindset, we reflect the nature of Jesus and help build a healthy church community.
EXCELLENCE IS OUR WORSHIP
We give honor and worship to God when we do our best for Him. We will always do the best with what we have. We are on time, engaged and prepared. We don’t do things halfway but endeavor to do them to the best of our ability. When we serve unto God, it is our worship.
