FAQ's

This is a 5-day summer camp jam-packed with next-level activities, opportunities to build lasting friendships, and a lot of powerful moments in God’s presence. Our mornings and evenings will have life-changing services with worship, the word, and ministry time. And our days will be packed full of recreation and fun activities including wave pool hangs, huge water slides, high ropes course, paintball and so much more!

New? Visiting? Been a thousand times? Camp is a great way to truly connect with our youth ministry. Feel free to have a look at Ocoee Ridge’s website for more information on some of the activities that are available.

We are excited to be going to Ocoee Ridge Camp! For those who have been to kids’ camp called Ocoee, this is a different campground with a similar name. It has the most beautiful scenery, comfy cabins, and the most fun activities!

Learn More About Ocoee Ridge Camp

We want every student to be able to go to camp, and we understand that sometimes finances can be an obstacle for individuals and families. We never want registration costs to be the reason a student cannot come to camp and would love to partner with families to make camp possible where we can.

We have a scholarship application form you can fill out if you are in need. With scholarships, we ask every family to contribute a minimum of $100 to their camper’s registration, but to also pray and think through the maximum you can contribute to allow scholarships to go further for all students.

Our students’ safety is the highest priority to us while we are away at camp. We give great weight to the fact that you have entrusted us with your teenager for the week.

Our leader-to-student ratio is thoughtfully laid out and every room in every cabin has 1-3 leaders in it, depending on the number of students. We bring 2-3 qualified nurses with us to camp to respond to any medical concerns if needed, as well as a security team. Every adult on the campground has undergone an extensive background check. Students are placed in cabins based on their gender and age. We have certified lifeguards with us.

Our campground is 3 hours away in Old Fort, TN. We have charter buses that will take us to and from camp. We will be leaving Sunday at 1PM from our Nashville Church location, and you will receive an email a couple weeks out from camp with more detailed information.

Every meal from Sunday night to Thursday morning is covered in your camp registration! We do ask that students bring snacks with them for the bus ride to camp.

If your student would like to buy anything from the onsite snack bar throughout the week, they will need to bring additional money for that.

If your student chooses to bring any snacks, please be sure they are fully nut free! If your teenager has any allergies please list them in the appropriate section when registering them so we can be sure to accommodate.

There is a field in the registration form to note any allergies or medical conditions. Please be sure to indicate it on the registration form.

We have a strict cell phone policy at our summer camps. We always want to prioritize students being present and fully experiencing camp by disconnecting from everyday life. For this reason, we limit students’ access to their phones during camp.

We highly encourage you to not send your students with a phone. If students do bring a phone, they will be collected and kept by leaders upon arriving at the campground.

Phones will be allowed during afternoon activity time each day only and accessible by asking a leader to retrieve the phone. We understand that taking pictures and capturing memories is important, and we want to create space for that to happen. We also give every student access to the professional photos that are taken by our team throughout the week.

Phones must be turned back in before dinner. There will be absolutely no phones during cabin time or sessions, and if students are caught with phones outside of the allotted window, we will respectfully take them away for the remainder of camp.

Parents will have access to our youth pastor’s phone numbers, as well as all of the contact information for the camp, in case of emergency. We highly encourage parents to talk to their students about this policy before coming to camp, so that it can be a great experience for everyone.

We will send a parent pack with all the details for packing via email in July. Please watch your email for that information!

Yes! We have students come from all over the country for camp every year, which we love! You are more than welcome to send students to camp, however we are not set up to accommodate leaders or pastors from other youth ministries. If students from your youth ministry join us, they will be integrated into camp along with all of the other campers.

There is a field in the registration form to note any cabin requests. We do our best to make sure every student is with 1-2 friends that are also the same age and gender. If you request more, we will try to get everyone together but cannot promise it will be possible. Plus, camp is the BEST place to meet new friends! Please be sure to indicate cabin requests on the registration form.

Feel free to email youth@thebelonging.co with any questions! We will also ensure that you have email and phone number information during the camp week.

Camp Scholarships

We never want finances to be a reason for our students to not come to camp! We have set up a scholarship fund where you can give towards students in need.
