This is a 5 day summer camp jam-packed with next-level activities, opportunities to build lasting friendships, and a lot of powerful moments in God’s presence. Our mornings and evenings will have life-changing meetings with worship, the word, and ministry time. And our days will be packed full of rec and fun activities including lake time, pool hangs, ziplining and so much more!
New? Visiting? Been a thousand times? Camp is a great way to truly connect with our youth ministry. Feel free to have a look at Sharptop Cove’s website for more information on some of the activities that are available.
Youth Co Summer Camp 2023 will take place at Sharptop Cove. It is 3 hours away in the hills of Georgia. From great activities to beautiful cabins and a great space for gatherings, this campground has everything we need to facilitate an incredible summer camp experience.
Your student’s safety is of utmost importance to us! Because of this, our adult to student ratio is extremely low with a minimum of five adults per cabin and many others on campus to assist. Each adult on campus will have secured a background check. Students will be placed in cabins based on their age and gender. Bathroom facilities are gender specific and adults on campus will never shower at the same time as teenagers.
Our team follows more than minimum protocol on CPR certifications, lifeguard certifications and we will have two nurses on site to administer medication or make emergency decisions if needed.
From dinner on Tuesday to breakfast on Saturday, each meal will be covered by camp! We will ask that you pack a lunch for Tuesday’s ride up to camp.
The campground has a snack bar that will be open at various times throughout the week. We encourage students to bring cash or a card if they would like to buy anything from the snack bar.
If your student chooses to bring any snacks, please be sure they are nut free! If your teenager has any allergies please list them in the appropriate section when registering them so we can be sure to accommodate.
There is a field in the registration form to note any allergies or medical conditions. Please be sure to indicate it on the registration form. You can also communicate this with our staff by emailing us at youth@thebelonging.co
Our camp is in Jasper, Georgia, three hours away from Nashville. We will be taking a bus up to camp! The bus cost is an add on in registration. We highly recommend all students ride the bus and the bus fee simply covers the cost of renting buses.
If you would like to bring or pick up your student separately, please let us know. Specific times of leaving and arriving will be sent out closer to camp, but plan on leaving for camp Tuesday morning and arriving back to Nashville around lunch time on Saturday!
We are implementing a strict cell phone policy at camp this year with the primary purpose being that we really want students to be able to disconnect from everyday life and be fully present with what God is doing at camp.
We highly encourage you to not send your students with a phone this year. If students do bring a phone, we will be keeping them in a secure lockbox in every grade level cabin that leaders have access to.
Phones will be allowed during afternoon free time each day only and accessible by asking a leader to retrieve the phone. We understand that taking pictures and capturing memories is important, and we want to create space for that to happen. Phones must be turned back in before dinner. There will be absolutely no phones during cabin time or sessions and if students are caught with phones outside of the allotted window, we will respectfully take them away for the remainder of camp.
Parents will have access to our youth pastor’s phone numbers, as well as all of the contact information for the camp, in case of emergency. We highly encourage parents to talk to their students about these restrictions before coming to camp, so that it can be a great experience for everyone.
We will send a parent pack with all the details for packing closer to July. Please watch your email for that information!
We have students come from all over the country for camp every year, which we love! You are more than welcome to send students to camp, however we are not set up to accommodate leaders or pastors from other youth ministries. If students from your youth ministry join us, they will be integrated into camp along with all of the other campers.
Feel free to email youth@thebelonging.co with any questions! We will also ensure that you have email and phone number information during the camp week.
